Though closure is a popular term frequently used when discussing death, the truth is that people do not simply “move on” after the death of a significant other. When someone we love dies, our lives are forever changed.

Fortunately there is a much better way forward than trying to “find closure”. Instead of trying to “cut the ties” to those whom we have loved and lost to death, we should endeavor to “continue the bonds” with our deceased loved ones. Continuing the relationship with a significant loved one after death can bring much comfort and healing.
